Here is a cheap and easy way to keep your makeup brushes clean. I used to buy the expensive brush cleaner from MAC and Bare Escentuals until I came across this idea: baby shampoo! It's a lot cheaper and does the job perfectly. It's gentle enough so it's soft on the brushes but it also disinfects.
Run the brush under hot water to dampen the bristles. Put a drop of shampoo in the palm of your hand and rub the brush around until the bristles are free of makeup.
Run the brush under the hot water again, pressing out any excess makeup and water. Lay flat on a wash cloth to dry.

ReplyDeleteI find that a lot of the time rubbing with my hand doesn't get the caked on gunk at the very tip of the fibers. (I use bare essentials with the primer, I feel like the primer mixed with the powder globs up and gets really hard on the tip of the bristles). So, I just let it sit in a 1/2 inch of water overnight- but I LOVE your baby shampoo idea! ReplyDeleteLet us simply put that Cooking is like Engineering Design, why? Because in every dish that you prepare must be presentable, creatively designed, taste good, and basically it must be done with speed and precision. Cooking is like an Art, where everything is uniquely combined, the best selection of ingredients, processed with right timing and temperature so that whatever you prepare is a work of Art. Creativity in cooking depends on how an Artist (Chef) modifies the recipe that every detail must be in one direction because each individual has their own taste preferences.
